IGT: Ready to drive gaming growth in Ukraine

Lasha Gogiberidze, IGT’s Kyiv-based Sales Manager

As excitement builds for the official re-opening of the Ukraine market, Petko Ivanov, IGT Director of Sales, Eastern Europe, answered a few brief questions about IGT and what the experienced, multi-national company had planned for the region.

IGT is the biggest gaming company in the world. What steps is IGT taking to localize its product and services for the Ukrainian market?

In anticipation of the market re-opening, IGT has been hard at work for many months to ensure that we have the ideal games, cabinets and services for the region. Our studio teams have facilitated extensive internal and external focus testing to ensure our regionally attuned games meet the preferences of local players. Additionally, our sales team frequently meets with the local operators to ensure that IGT’s solutions portfolio is aligned with their short, mid and long-term goals. I am excited to say that IGT will soon open its gaming showroom in Kyiv. Centrally located, IGT’s Kyiv office will provide a convenient venue for us to host our customers and showcase our latest games and hardware. We have digital options for showcasing our products and solutions, but in the minds of many, there is no substitute for physically playing a game and enjoying its visual elements, sounds and hardware features.

What role will IGT’s Kyiv-based team play in the Company’s regional expansion?

In my view, people and relationships are the backbones of any successful enterprise. As it relates to IGT’s re-entry into Ukraine, we’ve invested the time and resources to ensure that we have a highly skilled team which is familiar with the market’s geography, opportunities and challenges. Lasha Gogiberidze, IGT’s Kyiv-based Sales Manager, will be the face of our Ukraine business in many ways. He joined IGT with more than two decades of business experience that spans the gaming, private and government sectors. After holding executive roles in the automotive and technology industries, Lasha joined the gaming industry where he led important projects. He embodies IGT’s passion for putting the customer first and is highly motivated by the significant opportunity in the market. I know he and the rest of IGT’s Ukraine-focused team would love to host their customers in IGT’s Kyiv Gaming Showroom when it opens in May.

What IGT products are you most excited to see in regional casinos?

I believe in IGT’s entire portfolio for Ukraine and its ability to engage players and drive performance. We’ve leveraged IGT’s decades of experience as a supplier as well as extensive player insights to create games and cabinets that can create growth and differentiate our customers’ offerings. Our mantra for the region is “The best isn’t just back, it’s better.’
Highlights of our regional portfolio will include USwitch multi-game bundles, including the Red, Green, and Yellow game packs. Each of these bundles has its unique highlight and is available on the IGT Cobalt™ 27 and PeakSlant32™ cabinets. For example, our USwitch™ Red multi-game pack offers performance-driving content with an emphasis on fruit games, and our Green 40‑game USwitch pack offers Ukrainian players’ classic favorites such as Mystical Mermaid™, Coyote Moon™, Cleopatra™, and Wolf Run™. Lastly, our market-attuned USwitch Yellow 40‑game pack was developed to significantly expand a property’s fruit game offering.
In terms of hardware, our expertly crafted Cobalt™ 27 and PeakSlant32 gaming machines epitomize function, comfort and performance. The Cobalt 27 is clad with two high-definition 27‑inch screens, a 24‑inch video topper, integrated cabinet lighting, and extensive button panel flexibility. The Cobalt 27 cabinet is designed to fit operators’ unique needs and offers superior serviceability and durability.
IGT’s PeakSlant32 cabinet features three seamlessly integrated, 32‑inch, full-HD displays that deliver an immersive player experience. It includes IGT’s most advanced lighting and audio technology, offering dynamic attract and celebration sequences, as well as synchronization to the game experience, music, and sounds. It offers a standard inductive wireless charger and USB charging port for player convenience, and additional ergonomic features.

These are just among some of the many performance-driven solutions that we have planned for our customers in the region.
